MY PAL’S A DJ – Is an advocate for the Glasgow Club Scene Ecosystem.
Is a brand that will re-imagine Glasgow’s Club scene by providing a platform for up and coming talent, raising awareness of the current struggles Glasgow and Scotland are currently facing within the scene. This project explores the dimensions of a club space where it belongs, how it functions, when it takes place, why and who participates.
The club scene within Glasgow is more than the venues that contain its energy within them but the culture that is at the heart and evolves within our day-to-day lives. MY PAL’S A DJ re-imagines Glasgow’s Club scene by delving into the grassroots of the scene – the people and their evolving environment.
Glasgow has a vast amount of talent and a rich history of opportunity; the city’s people have designed what we know of the club scene today.
However, where are these people? Do you know where they are? What do they do during the day? What do they look like?
Just like the dancers, the audiences, the people who run the club scene that spawn at night, the city itself has two faces; it’s a matter of when and how we can show its true colours.
This is an invitation to support a platform that digs into the culture, not just the clubs – tapping into the energy, creativity, and duality of a city that lives both day and night.
