Innovation & Technology Product Design

Evie Evans

I’m a hands-on designer drawn to creating experiences through playful forms to challenge norms and connect with people on a human level. I enjoy crafting tactile solutions to complex problems, through physical making and form exploration. My process is rooted in curiosity and human experience, balancing form with function, and aiming to create work that invites interaction and reflection.

Playful Productivity

Playful Productivity

In a culture obsessed with output, where productivity is prized above well-being, this project reimagines the workplace as a space for care, play, and presence. Through human-centred, tactile, and interactive objects, it introduces guilt-free moments of rest and reflection into office life. These interventions disrupt routine and challenge machine-like expectations. Each product explores our relationship with time, space, and pressure, reframing care as essential rather than indulgent. Rooted in physical interaction, the project encourages a more mindful, embodied relationship with work, envisioning the office as a space for balance, curiosity, and simply being.

The Cradle Chair

The Cradle Chair

The Cradle Chair

This chair swings backwards to facilitate full-body rest in the workplace. Through interaction, it cradles you and transforms guilty procrastination into genuine rest.

Natural Rhythms Lamp

A desk lamp that supports optimal work-rest cycles by glowing to invite breaks throughout the day. Using seasonal affective lighting to support mental health, it invites moments to check in with yourself.

The Stop and Sip Mug

A mug that can’t be set down on flat surfaces, requiring the user to step away from their desk to drink. It breaks the cycle of unconscious multitasking, transforming habitual coffee breaks into deliberate pauses.
